The Language of Faith 

The Scripture tells us that we are to, “walk by faith and not by sight,” that we are “saved by grace through faith.”  Faith is something very important in our day-to-day Christian lives.  In this series we are going to look at what faith is and specifically what the language of faith is from the Scriptures.  We have the power of life and death in our tongues, and we must learn how to use that power as the Lord desires pleasing Him with our faith.

Part 5 – Our tongue carries the power of life and death in it.  The Proverbs are full of Scriptures that give us clear understanding of the importance of the words we choose to speak.  Proverbs tells us that our mouths are to chew and savor and relish truth, that our words should come from a place of purpose and covenant. We must learn to measure what we say taking time to listen to our hearts before we speak.
