The Scripture tells us that we are to, “walk by faith and not by sight,” that we are “saved by grace through faith.” Faith is something very important in our day-to-day Christian lives. In this series we are going to look at what faith is and specifically what the language of faith is from the Scriptures. We have the power of life and death in our tongues, and we must learn how to use that power as the Lord desires pleasing Him with our faith.
Part 11 – James teaches us that we are to connect our tongues to our faith. In the Mirror translation it says it this way, James 3:2 – It is common habit to descend from a higher place (of faith) to a lower (of the senses), especially in conversation. However, if you want to be in perfect charge of your whole person, the best place to begin is to take charge of your tongue. When we guard what we say we can live in charge of our whole person.
