Teaching Description:
Understanding the End Times was never intended to be a teaching describing world conditions to predict the closeness of the appearing of Jesus for His Church.  Many books have come and gone written with the purpose of comparing world events to scriptures about end times and Jesus’ return.  However, this book was not; it was designed to provide a Bible understanding of God’s plan for the ages by weaving together the prophecies of the Old and New Testaments.  It was also designed to describe the situations and events that will exist on earth at the time of the culmination of all things.  For these reasons, this book should be timeless.
Many Christians have falsely interpreted the events of their generation by identifying who they believe to be the Antichrist or the year of Jesus’ coming. These often taint the beauty of Bible prophecy and bring embarrassment to the Body of Christ when the predicted Antichrist dies or dates come and go without the coming of Christ. Yet the plan of God goes on.  God’s reputation is never tainted nor is He ever embarrassed at what believers do in His name according to His Word.  He knows His Word will come to pass and He will ultimately have the final say.
We must realize the coming of Jesus is imminent.  On one hand, some Christians are saying we need to buy gold and food supplies because we may not be removed from the earth during the tribulation and perhaps the teaching of the rapture is false doctrine.  Others are saying the world has been in this condition and worse in centuries past and yet, we are still here.  They believe Jesus will not return in our lifetime and perhaps not for many years to come; they sound like the end-time believers’ Peter warned us of in 2 Peter 3:4 – Where is the promise of His coming?  For since the fathers fell asleep (died), all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.
I agree that conditions in the world have been worse than what we see today.  Anyone who studies world history can tell you we have not seen persecution and evil on the same level as in ancient Egypt, Rome, Hitler’s Germany, or the Soviet Union.
But there is one great difference today.  In the past, evil and persecution, which seemed to line up with biblical prophecy, have been concentrated in one nation or area of the world.  Today is the first time in history we are seeing these things on a worldwide level encompassing every nation at one time.  The Bible is not lining up with the world.  The world is lining up with the Bible.  What God spoke and the prophets saw coming through the Spirit is happening today before our eyes.  Failing money markets and world banks, national bankruptcies, food shortages, earthquakes, moral decline, social gospel, and powerless churches all seem to exist at one time in every nation.  Lawlessness and fear are universal.  International socialism seems to be the answer being shouted out by a unified media, liberal governments, and churches.  Israel is surrounded on all sides by those who want to destroy her and is at the point of being “hated of all nations” for the sake of God’s name.  What the Bible has clearly predicted is on our doorstep.  Without the soon return of Jesus, the only hope for the world is revival.  I trust you are praying for a great outpouring of the Holy Spirit on all people and nations.
We are not setting a time for Jesus’ return, nor are we going to name the antichrist; this would only devalue the message of this teaching.  What we will do is challenge you to open your heart to the Word of God and your eyes to what is happening in the world.  The atmosphere is lining up like never before, spiritually, morally, politically, economically, in every way.  Don’t let your heart fail for fear of what is coming on mankind and the world.  Instead, look up in faith and anticipation.  Your redemption is closer than ever.

Due to the fact that this is strictly a Bible Study, there will be no children’s ministry or child care provided.  You are welcome to bring your children provided they are not a disturbance to the study.
