So Walk In Him (Part 1)

Throughout Paul’s epistles, we see him over and over again praying for the churches that he planted.  In these prayers, there is a common request to the Lord, that He would open the eyes of our understanding and give us a full measure of wisdom concerning what we have received in Jesus Christ.  The work that God accomplished in Christ goes much deeper than just getting into heaven when you pass from this world.  God placed within us the resurrection power that took Jesus out of all that hell could come up with.  In this series of studies, we are going to look into who we have become in Christ now that we are born again.  Paul said in 2 Cor 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, NKJV

Arthur W. Pink said, “let us realize that the sinner is not ignorant, needing instruction; he is not weak and in need of invigoration; he is not sick and in need of doctoring.  He is dead and needs to be made alive.

Part 1 – In tonight’s message, we begin our series by taking a look at what it means to be born again.  This term is thrown around a lot in Christian circles but it means much more than just going to heaven when you die.  When you receive Christ you now are a child of God and moved from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of love!
