Vessels Of Honor – The Problem Is Not The Problem – Part 11
As believers we know from Scripture that we have been translated out of the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light. We know that the devil through the work of Christ has been disarmed. So, what is the problem if the problem is not the problem? There are a lot of directions we could go in Scripture on this, but we want to look at three areas. Faith, wisdom, and obedience.
Part 11 – Part of obedience includes putting a bridle on our tongues. Controlling our tongue is key to having a fruitful life in Christ. James tells us in chapter 1 verse 26 that if we do not control what we say then our religion is useless. The power of life and death is in the tongue, and for our works of faith to be effective we must monitor our speech. Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him (Colossians 3:17).
