The Language of Faith – Part 4

The Language of Faith

The Scripture tells us that we are to, “walk by faith and not by sight,” that we are “saved by grace through faith.”  Faith is something very important in our day-to-day Christian lives.  In this series we are going to look at what faith is and specifically what the language of faith is from the Scriptures.  We have the power of life and death in our tongues, and we must learn how to use that power as the Lord desires pleasing Him with our faith.

Part 4 – In today’s message we look at the importance of being open to hearing the Word of God.  We know that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, this tells us that all the faith necessary for us to believe is found in the Word of God.  With this in mind we look to the Scriptures and discover the importance of having open ears and an open heart to God’s Words.  The Scriptures tell us, “For the overflow of what has been stored in your heart will be seen by your fruit and will be heard by your words,” (Luke 6:45 TPT).  Since we speak from what is in our hearts and the power of life and death is in our tongues then we must be open to and full of the Word of God.
