The Lord has not left us powerless in this life.  He has provided supernatural ability for the individual believer and for the corporate body of Christ to grow spiritually and to fulfill the great commission.  This power is referred to in the Scriptures as the anointing.  The anointing is God’s power in and on our lives.  Another way to say this, is the anointing is the operation of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

In this series we are going to look at different aspects of the anointing from the Scriptures.  We are going to define what the anointing is.  We are going to look at how the anointing operates in the earth, and we are going to look at how we as believers are to cooperate with the anointing.  In addition to teaching from the Scriptures on the anointing we are also going to have demonstrations of the Holy Spirit.  According to Scripture the idea of knowledge is not just information but also application.  Church is the place learning so that when the Holy Spirit prompts you in the anointing to minister in your world you are ready and bold through knowledge to act.

Main Scriptures:  Isa 10:27 It shall come to pass in that day That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder, And his yoke from your neck, And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil. NKJV

1 John 2:20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. NKJV

Part 1 – The Lord said to us, “He desires that this church walks consistently by faith and also enjoys frequent saturations from the Holy Spirit while maintaining emotional stability through spiritual maturity.”  In our first message in this series on the anointing we began by defining what the anointing is, the anointing is the empowerment of the Holy Spirit within the believer and upon the believer.  It is represented in the Old Testament by oil or ointment.

Isaiah 10:27

1 John 2:20
