2 Cor 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. NKJV

I heard a statement several years ago in Bible college, “To be forewarned is to be forearmed.”  I have found this statement to be true.  Having a healthy understanding (not fear-motivated or fear-based) of our enemy is a must if we are going to live the victorious life that Jesus died for us to have.  In this series, we will talk about who Satan is but mostly we will end up focusing on how he tries to operate in our day-to-day lives.

Part 3 – The enemy worked in trade in order to lead one-third of the angels in rebellion against God.  He worked in trade to deceive Eve.  He also works in trade to deceive mankind today.

Trading – means traffic, merchandise, or commerce.  I looked up the word commerce in the thesaurus and it is connected to conversation.  One of the descriptions that connect the two words is a social exchange, especially of opinions or attitudes.  Also, it states the use of speech for the informal exchange of views or ideas, or information.

In today’s message, we lay a foundational truth in spiritual warfare and the connection to our thoughts.  This truth will be a vital weapon in your arsenal against your enemy satan.
