John 15:1-“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
2 Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. NKJV
Heb 12:11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it. NKJV
In our series entitled “Rooted,” we are going to be taking a journey through the Scripture on what it means to be pruned by the Lord. The Lord does not prune our lives to hurt us but rather to promote the increase of the fruit we produce for His Kingdom while here on earth. In this series, we are going to look at the importance of correction in our lives and the depth of character that it will produce. Come join us and get ready to increase in the peaceable fruit of righteousness.
Part 1 – In our first message in this series we explore the importance of being pruned as described in John 15. Jesus is the vine and we are the branches. Pruning is for our good even though it can seem painful in the moment.
