In this series on Sunday mornings, we are diving in to the subject of repentance. Many people have different ideas about what repentance is but we are going to look to the Scriptures and allow the Word of God to define it for us.
We will cover several things concerning repentance in this series such as:
What repentance is and what repentance is not.
Why is repentance needed?
How do I repent?
What happens when I repent?
Part 3 – In this message we look at why repentance is necessary. Repentance is necessary for believers and unbelievers. In order to become a child of God, we must repent and be converted from the family of darkness to the family of light. After we are born again there is still a process of repentance from our old way of thinking and living to our new way of thinking and living. Repentance requires that truth be spoken, truth can cut like a sword, it can be painful at times but is necessary for true repentance to be experienced.
