Hear His Voice – Part 9
Have you noticed that we have a lot of voices in our lives that are competing with the voice of our Shepherd? In this series, we are going to discuss two phrases found in John chapter 10. We are going to look at the “voice of our shepherd” and the “voice of strangers.” As we learn to discern the Father’s voice from the stranger’s voice, we will properly prune our lives of overgrowth and become trees with leaves that do not wither and that bear fruit in every season of life.

Hear His Voice – Part 9 – The stranger voices of this world are an ever-present issue that the believer must be sober and vigilant concerning. In today’s message we discover the stranger voice of the soul and flesh (personal desire). Paul in Philippians 2 shares insights with us concerning the motivations of the ministers that he had to deal with in his ministry team, he states in verses 19 – 21 “But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you shortly, that I also may be encouraged when I know your state. For I have no one like-minded, who will sincerely care for your state. For all seek their own, not the things which are of Christ Jesus.” The stranger voice of “seek our own” is one we must guard against.
