As leaders and disciples of God, we are commanded to do all things without complaining and disputing. In this series, we are going to look at different instances in Scripture where complaining caused major problems for the people of God. It is vital that we practice thankfulness as believers, being thankful and resisting complaining keeps our relationship with the Lord fervent and our faith strong and active.
Complaining people have taken their eyes off of Christ, thankful people keep their eyes on the Word so they are excited about God delivering them in every trial of life.
Philippians 2:14 Do all things (daily, whole) without complaining and disputing, NKJV
Part 6 – 2 Peter 3:3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” 5 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, 6 by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. 7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. NKJV
God has given us a book full of examples of what to do and what not to do, let’s choose truth and stay away from rebellion seeing the results that the disobedient receive. Let’s not be willfully forgetful. God has empowered us through the Word and Holy Spirit to always find a way of escape.
