Grumble, Grumble, Grumble – Part 4

As leaders and disciples of God, we are commanded to do all things without complaining and disputing.  In this series, we are going to look at different instances in Scripture where complaining caused major problems for the people of God.  It is vital that we practice thankfulness as believers, being thankful and resisting complaining keeps our relationship with the Lord fervent and our faith strong and active.

Complaining people have taken their eyes off of Christ, thankful people keep their eyes on the Word so they are excited about God delivering them in every trial of life.

Philippians 2:14 Do all things (daily, whole) without complaining and disputing, NKJV

Part 4  – This morning we look to the example of 1 Cor. 10 again.  In this message, we look at some of the things the Israelites did to get into trouble with the Lord.  We discuss the importance of understanding that there are consequences to our actions as believers, remember grace is not a license to live any way we want but rather empowerment to walk as Christ walked in the earth.  We see in the children of Israel that their life of complaining opened the door to the destroyer and not only did this affect them but also their spouses and children.  We must heed the warnings!
