Culture Wars – Part 3
Our Wednesday night Bible Study is entitled “Culture Wars.” The Scriptures tell us in 1 Tim 4:1 BUT THE [Holy] Spirit distinctly and expressly declares that in latter times some will turn away from the faith, giving attention to deluding and seducing spirits and doctrines that demons teach, AMP. These are the days we are living in right now. In this series, we are going to touch on a few of the hot-button issues in the culture today.
Rick Warren put it this way – “Our culture has accepted two huge lies. The first is that if you disagree with someone’s lifestyle, you must fear or hate them. The second is that to love someone means you agree with everything they believe or do. Both are nonsense. You don’t have to compromise convictions to be compassionate.”
Part 3 – The penalty for not responding with honor and praise to the revelation of God is to suffer the paralysis of one’s God-given faculties. People who reject the revelation of God through the creation are in danger of worshipping the creation rather than the creator when this happens there is a process set in motion where foolishness becomes the wisdom they live by. People must repent and submit to God in order to walk in truth, light, and freedom. Humanities attempt to elevate themselves to a new level of wisdom independently of God always dooms them to a lesser state. In every situation the further people get away from God you will find less and less care for humanity!
