Culture Wars – Part 2
Our Wednesday night Bible Study is entitled “Culture Wars.” The Scriptures tell us in 1 Tim 4:1 BUT THE [Holy] Spirit distinctly and expressly declares that in latter times some will turn away from the faith, giving attention to deluding and seducing spirits and doctrines that demons teach, AMP. These are the days we are living in right now. In this series, we are going to touch on a few of the hot button issues in the culture today.
Rick Warren put it this way – “Our culture has accepted two huge lies. The first is that if you disagree with someone’s lifestyle, you must fear or hate them. The second is that to love someone means you agree with everything they believe or do. Both are nonsense. You don’t have to compromise convictions to be compassionate.”
Part 2 – “Yes evolutionists believe in logic, morality, and science, but such things do not make sense in an evolutionary universe. Evolutionists must borrow Biblical creation principles in order to make sense of anything. They are intellectually schizophrenic – relying on one worldview while professing another. Like the critic of air, evolutionists must use that which is contrary to their position in order to make an argument for their position.” Dr. Jason Lisle – The Ultimate Proof Of Creation.
In tonight’s study, we look into the worldviews of evolutionism and creationism. Using morality, laws of logic and uniformity of nature we look at the clear evidence that proves the Bible is the correct account of all creation. In this message, we glean heavily from the book, “The Ultimate Proof Of Creation” By Dr. Jason Lisle. This is a great book I recommend that you get a copy and read it.
