Contentment – Part 1
There are many believers in the body of Christ who are living with internal discontent because of external circumstances. When the condition of our internal state is being governed by our external circumstances we are no longer walking in the spirit, we are no longer walking by faith.
In this series, we are going to look into Biblical contentment. One of the great truths of Christianity is that our source of life and victory comes from within us. Jesus said in John 4:13, 14 – that the water that He provides will become in us a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.
Paul said in Philippians 4:11 that he had learned how to live in contentment in whatever state (circumstance) he found himself in. Join us as we discover from the Scriptures the truth and freedom of contentment provided for us in Christ.
Main Texts: John 4:13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” NKJV

Part 1 – In our first message in this series we break into what Biblical contentment looks like. Jesus ministered to the woman at the well in John chapter 4 opening her eyes to the reality that the satisfaction, the contentment that she was looking for was not found in natural water but in spiritual water, the living water of Christ within. Biblical contentment is found in Christ. Paul stated in Philippians 4, “I have learned in whatever state (circumstance) I am, to be content. Biblical contentment is being satisfied in Christ to the point where you are not disturbed or disquieted by anything.
