Break Free (Life Without Worry) Part 6
Did you know that as Christians we can live worry-free? This may sound too good to be true but as a believer, we have God on our side. In this new series, we are going to look at what the Bible teaches us concerning the issue of worry. We are going to see that we can cast all of our care over on the Lord. We will also see how worry can actually choke out the effectiveness of the Word of God in our lives. Make plans to join us as we discover what worry is and how to overcome it through the Word of God and the Holy Spirit.
1 Peter 5:7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. NKJV
1 Peter 5:7 Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. [Ps 55:22.] AMP
Part 6 – 1 Peter 5:7 is such a powerful truth. We see that we can cast or throw all of our care over on the Lord, we have the promise of living completely worry-free. In part 7 of this series, we are continuing to look at the importance of the second half of this verse, the truth that God cares for us watchfully. If we are going to live worry-free we must have a conviction that God is caring for us. God’s care for us is not anxious worry care but rather care by forethought and interest, it has to do with supply, nourishment, support, and sustaining. Praise God we have a Father who sees ahead and provides for us. Romans 8:32 puts His care this way, “For God has proved His love by giving us His greatest treasure, the gift of His Son. And since God freely offered Him up as a sacrifice for us all, He certainly won’t withhold from us anything else He has to give. TPT
