Mark 16:6 reminds us that the One who was crucified is not there. He is risen. But this message was not just about history. In John 17:20-24, Jesus prayed specifically for YOU -- for people who would believe through the words of his disciples -- that you would be one with him and the Father, sharing in his glory, never alone again. The beautiful thing about Jesus and the plan of redemption is the motivation behind the demonstration. All the power of the Godhead could have come together to justify destruction. Instead, it came together for redemption.
