Part 1 – God has a plan for each of us individually and His church corporately. There are promises that have been given to us in the Scriptures and prophetically by the Holy Spirit that express the plans and desires of God for us. We need to realize that just because the Lord has a plan for our life it does not come to pass in our lives automatically. The Lord told the children of Israel that the promise land was theirs but the first generation never possessed it because they did not follow the steps of faith the Lord directed them in. The same will be true of our lives if we do not obey the Lord. In this message we begin our journey in learning from the Exodus of Israel out of Egypt. We are going to learn what to do and what not to do.

Part 2 – Faith is measurable, think about it we analyze metal with respect to is purity. We try coins to determine their genuineness. Even more so, Christians ought to often take a careful look at the state of their faith. Paul by the Holy Spirit told the Church at Thessalonica that their faith was “growing exceedingly.” This statement alone tells us that our faith can be measured. We can take Biblical assessment of where our faith is in order to adjust for increase.

Part 3 – This message deals with defining what escaping faith looks like, its characteristics. Escaping faith is low level faith, you might call it new faith. In this level of faith God functions in the relationship like a good parent does with a young child. The parent carries all the responsibility, they put with a lot of things they would not put up with in other stages of maturity. At this place of faith God is moving on behalf of the people in sovereign acts of goodness in order to impart and grow the faith in the people.

Part 4 – Escaping faith is marked by God’s sovereign move of grace toward those that He is developing faith in. In this stage of our relationship with God He moves in miraculous ways to get our attention. In this message we look at the early stages of development in Moses. Moses had the right heart, but he got out of line in his actions. Moses encounters God through a bush that was on fire but not burning. As Moses turns to see the demonstration of God, he wisely sticks around for the conversation with God. God develops Moses faith through revealing who He is so that Moses can understand his identity. May the Spirit of wisdom and revelation open the eyes of your understanding concerning the Word of God!

Part 5 – Complaining opens the door to the destroyer. Complaining operates in a person who is walking in an immature faith or in a immature state spiritually. The Lord is gracious and merciful with baby Christians, He operates in patience with us as we are developing spiritually through knowledge of God and who we are and then the application of that knowledge. In this message we begin to see the transition the Lord started to make with the children of Israel from escaping faith to surviving faith. God does not save us to leave us in an immature place spiritually, as a loving Father, He leads us into maturity.

Faith Part 6 – In the 6th message in this series of teachings we continue to look at surviving faith and the subject of complaining. Complaining is a spiritually destructive habit. We see in Exodus 16 where the Israelites begin to complain about not having bread or meat to eat. The Israelites had witnessed God’s power and faithfulness repeatedly and yet they still are not responding to problems and situations by faith. What we will discover is that God will now begin to expect faith from the Israelites, He is expecting their cooperation. God is going to test the children of Israel to see what they have learned.

Numbers 16 gives us the account of Korah, Dathan, Abiram and 250 leaders from the congregation of the children of Israel who revolted against Moses and Aaron. We will discover how complaining played a role in this incident.
