2 Tim 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.  NKJV

2 Tim 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. 21 Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.  NKJV

If we read the passages above in context we see Paul is instructing Timothy to watch out for false teachers.  He is admonishing him to pay attention to the Scriptures and to make sure what he is believing and what he is teaching is founded on Scripture.  Doing this causes Christians to purge themselves of the world and lies of the enemy.  This process causes us to develop into vessels that are, “sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.”

Here at Faith Family Church, we are committed to helping believers develop into disciples.  Jesus said in Matthew 28:19 that we were to make disciples of all nations.  God has designed that every believer grows to the place where they are a vessel for honor.

All are welcome, so make plans to join us every Sunday morning at 9 am for this powerful Bible study.  You will be ministered to by different teachers in the church from various topics in the Scriptures.

*For all of those serving in our main Sunday morning service please make plans to join us for Bible study before you serve.

Running Our Race And The Lords Discipline – Sean McFarlane

A New Testament Commentary Hebrews Bob Yandian – Page 171

Christian believers are tied in with the heroes of faith from the time of Abel through the prophets and kings to the closing of the Old Testament. Just as each one of the heroes discovered the grace of God in their failures and endured the chastening of the Lord, so also do the members of the church.

Every believer has a race to run in this life.  We are predestined in Christ to fulfill a specific purpose in the dispensation that we live in.  Hebrews 12 gives us insight into how we are to run our race.  In this series of teachings, we are going to look at these truths and how they apply to our lives today.

Please make plans to join us in person Sunday mornings through May at 9am or online.
