Vessels Of Honor – Sunday Morning Bible Study
June 18 @ 9:00 am - 9:45 amFree
2 Tim 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. NKJV
2 Tim 2:20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. 21 Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work. NKJV
If we read the passages above in context we see Paul is instructing Timothy to watch out for false teachers. He is admonishing him to pay attention to the Scriptures and to make sure what he is believing and what he is teaching is founded on Scripture. Doing this causes Christians to purge themselves of the world and lies of the enemy. This process causes us to develop into vessels that are, “sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.”
Here at Faith Family Church, we are committed to helping believers develop into disciples. Jesus said in Matthew 28:19 that we were to make disciples of all nations. God has designed that every believer grows to the place where they are a vessel for honor.
All are welcome, so make plans to join us every Sunday morning at 9 am for this powerful Bible study. You will be ministered to by different teachers in the church from various topics in the Scriptures.
*For all of those serving in our main Sunday morning service please make plans to join us for Bible study before you serve.
*There Is No Child Care During This Service
This Sunday Mike Hill will be teaching a message titled “Stage. Set.”
As in a play, or movie production there is a placement that is in the focus of the audience that creates the setting for what is to come. The scenery and properties are designed and arranged for a particular scene in a play. I want to show you some settings in the Word of God. Settings that allow for a greater understanding of God and His ways. Settings that are all too familiar to us. We will look into some of the scenery and properties that “set us” specifically by God in this “act” of our life. Join me as we encounter Ecclesiastes 1:3 “I set my mind to seek and explore wisdom concerning all that has been done under heaven.” Let us seek understanding in this first part of “Stage. Set.”
