FFC Men’s ministry is committed to the development of Christlikeness in men (high school age and up.  Dr. Edwin Louis Cole said, “Manhood and Christlikeness are synonymous.”  Christlike men are those who will say, “I want to be a man for Christ because Christ became a man for me.”  There are two questions every man must face – not only face, but answer.  First, and the most important in all of life is, “What do you think about Christ?”   The second is, “Will you be a man?”  Manhood is not magic.  It is a building process.  No magic wand waved could produce it instantly.  It doesn’t strike like lighting.  It is built, layer upon layer, line upon line, precept upon precept, decision upon decision.

Any true level of discipleship requires being intentional in purpose and process.  The Bible says that everywhere Abraham went he built his altar and pitched his tents.  Today, too many men are building their tents and pitching their altars.  They spend too much time on the temporal and not enough on the eternal – too much time on building personality, while merely pitching character.  It’s a perversion of godly principles.  You can pitch personality, but you must build character.  “When the charm wears off, you have nothing but character left” – W.T. Gaston.  It is the longing of every woman to have a man with character in the house.  It is the need of every child to have a man at the helm.  It is the crying need of every church to have real men at work in its ministry.  To have great levels of strength and spirituality in the church, you need strong men.  Same in a home and a nation.  Churches, homes, and nations are only as strong as their men.

FFC Men’s ministry disciples men through our once-a-month men’s breakfast at the church where we fellowship and then break into small groups for Bible study and prayer.  Later in the month, these same groups will meet with their group leader at a designated location (home, restaurant) for the same purpose.  We desire to build a community of men who are being discipled and will lead in Christlikeness in their homes, businesses, and churches.

Current Bible Study:

The book Courage is a call to men who want to be champions, a daring challenge to young men who want to be a success in life, and a rousing cry for mature men to come alive again!

Men everywhere, both young and old, are fighting a war waged against them, both physically and spiritually.  Learn how to fight an enemy that would emasculate your manhood, shame your God-given ambitions, mock your ego-mastery, and try to make you a wimp.

More than ever before in history, young men today must be trained to be men and have the courage to live in that manhood.  If you have the guts to do more than wallow in a moral morass of mediocrity, this book study is for you!

Don’t waste your youth!  Live your God-given dreams!  This book will train you in manhood, in responsibility, in maturity, and in warfare.
