Forgiveness - Part 6

Forgiveness Part 6 – We are called to forgive the way that we have been forgiven. We are currently in the parable of the unforgiving servant in Matthew 18. Jesus is clear that He expects us as His servants to show forgiveness toward others in the same way that God has shown forgiveness to us. The forgiveness that we give is miniscule in comparison to what we have been forgiven. The debts against us are not to be compared with the debt that we owed God. When we hold unforgiveness against our fellow servants we are declaring that our hurt is of more value than the person Christ died for, this causes harm to us and to the Kingdom of Heaven.
