10:30 am Sunday Morning Worship – Pastor Sean McFarlane – Palm Sunday / Healing Service
This Sunday is Palm Sunday! This is the celebration of our Savior Jesus Christ entering into Jerusalem on the 10th day of Nisan which was the very day in the Old Testament where the Israelites would pick their Passover Lamb for sacrifice. Jesus came into Jerusalem on this day intentionally to declare that He was their Passover Lamb, their Messiah. As He entered He rode upon a donkey which was significant as well because is was a declaration of peace and identity with all of humanity. One day Jesus will return on a horse which will be an act of war but today we celebrate and offer the peace that has been extended to humanity through Jesus Christ!
In this service the Lord has instructed us to pray for the sick. Specifically the Lord ministered to Pastor Sean out of Mark 5:25-34 concerning the woman with the issue of blood. You will notice that the woman was made whole or as Jesus said, “go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.” This woman extended her faith to Jesus and touched His garment and when this happened she was healed of her affliction which included the issue of blood, the suffering at the hands of physicians and the restoration of finances spent in trying to obtain healing. Whether you are a Christian or not you are invited to this service for healing! We are trusting the Lord to heal disease, and any side effects from medical procedures. This would include side effects from surgery, vaccines, replacement parts, medications, drug use, alcohol abuse, etc. etc. etc…… Come expecting the miraculous healing power of God!
Faith Kids Ministries for all ages – Pastor Herb Fuerst –
In addition to sharing on Palm Sunday Pastor Herb will also be ministering healing.
This week and next our Faith Kids are going to be learning about the relationship between Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday. They seem like two separate events but are part of one long celebration………….The Passover Feast.
The King is worthy to be praised! In times of war the King would ride into a city on a great white horse, but in times of peace the king would ride into a city on a donkey.
The angels at Jesus birth sang ( and on Earth PEACE , good will toward men!!!!) Jesus rode onto Jerusalem showing us that God was at Peace with them because of what He was about to do for us.
The palm branches were to show us that PARADISE was coming to us..
